China Cup/APAC Holiday Preparation 2008


Dear Varsity/JV Soccer players,
As your coaches have made you fully aware the next 10 days will make a huge difference in your preparation for this years China cup and APAC tournaments respectively.Finally the perfect opportunity to show friends and family what heights you have reached and get the SAS Boys Soccer programme where it belongs – a leading contender at APAC, year in year out!
You are currently 6 weeks into the season and I am sure that you would agree when we say you are a far better team than the one that stepped onto the field in our first game of the season versus Constantine!!Not only are you fitter, with better technical and skill ability, you have gelled as a 22 man squad both on and off the filed.In addition you have started to add some Mental Strength to your game in terms of preparation, that must be continued if you are to have any chance of reaching your potential come Friday 4th April in Beijing.
I’m sure you distinctly remember the feelings of last years China Cup/APAC defeats and are excited about the prospect of showing them who really is the best Soccer school in Asia! As a result in order to remain in contention for a starting place you need to continue this development during the coming weeks.
Below is an outline of some of the training you can be doing in and around the family/friend/fun time that you will no doubt be having where ever you are spending the break. We are not saying that yo have to commit your entire Holidays to the team but it IS CRUSIAL that you think about what YOU can do to help the team on their way to APAC success J
